Character Wall Decorations

On an impulse, I bought a giant stack of construction paper (about $40s worth). My dorm room is very white. Very. White. I can fix that! I decided to make a huge paper mural made up of a collection of my favorite characters. These are the ones I have created thus far...

Domo

Tigger

Minion (Stuart) + Homemade Unicorn Toy

Mushu

The House from Up!

Crochet Hobbes Stuffed Animal

I remember when I picked up my first Calvin and Hobbes book in 4th grade. It is one one my sweetest childhood memories and I have so much respect for Bill Watterson for his desire to maintain the integrity of his work. On the other hand, I've always wanted a Hobbes stuffed animal and Watterson never licensed his characters for merchandising (including dolls and toys).
I decided to make a Hobbes doll an ongoing nap time project over the summer. It was my first stuffed animal and I'm actually quite proud of how it turned out!

Crochet Minion and Turtle

Stuart from Despicable Me

A Little Turtle

Silly Paper Robot

This was truly and out-of-boredom creation. Over the summer, I worked with 3-5 year olds which gave me a lot of nap time freedom. This was the result.

Apple Hat

I crocheted this hat to look like an apple. It was by no means meant to be a great meaningful art piece. I was just a silly little project for a friend who liked apples and hats.
